From Cheers to Cross: Staying Faithful When It’s Not Popular
Palm Sunday at Munds Park Community Church
Palm Sunday marks one of the most dramatic moments in Jesus’s life—a day filled with celebration, symbolism, and quiet courage.
As Jesus entered Jerusalem, crowds gathered. They laid palm branches at His feet, shouting, “Hosanna!” and praising Him as their King. It was a moment of joy, hope, and recognition—the long-awaited Messiah had come.
But only days later, those cheers turned into shouts of “Crucify Him.”
The story of Palm Sunday reminds us how quickly public opinion can change — and how true faith isn’t based on popularity or applause. Jesus knew what was coming. He knew that faithfulness to His Father would lead Him to the cross. And yet… He rode into the city anyway.
That’s why this Palm Sunday, our theme at Munds Park Community Church is:
“From Cheers to Cross: Staying Faithful When It’s Not Popular.”
We invite you — whether you’re a long-time believer, a visitor, or someone just looking for hope — to join us for a meaningful service that reflects on Jesus’ courage, compassion, and calling.
