The Munds Park Community Church was filled with the warm aroma of homemade soups and the lively buzz of friendly competition on Saturday, February 8th, as we gathered for our annual Soup’er Bowl event!
This beloved tradition, held every year on the Saturday before the NFL Super Bowl, brings together soup enthusiasts, community members, and football fans for a delicious and spirited cook-off.
This year, we were thrilled to welcome 66 attendees, all eager to sample a variety of mouthwatering soups crafted by our talented volunteers.
From classic favorites like hearty chicken noodles and creamy potatoes to bold and spicy creations, there was something to satisfy every craving.
The competition was fierce (but friendly!), as guests cast their votes for the best soup, the spiciest concoction, and other fun categories.

- I’m Surprised I Liked It – Sue Wood with Panara Autumn Squash Soup
- Most Likely to Put Pounds On Soup – Sandy Baker with Lasagna Soup
While the soups were the show’s stars, the true magic of the Soup’er Bowl is the sense of community and togetherness it fosters. Laughter, conversation, and full bowls made for an unforgettable afternoon. Whether you were there to showcase your culinary skills or simply enjoy a warm meal among friends, it was a soup-er time for all!
We had an amazing turnout this year, and we’d love to see even more people join us next time!
