Compassionate Services for Lasting Rehabilitation

Protective Mother's Justice

Protective Morther’s Justice – Our approach to rehabilitation is designed to minimize emotional stress while providing a supportive, structured environment for our clients throughout their entire journey. We offer a blend of in-house services and a self-reliance program that extends support beyond the shelter, empowering our clients to thrive independently after they leave.

Children’s Services

We provide a range of services tailored to the needs of children and their mothers. Our partnership with the Candle Wish Foundation offers birthday party supplies and presents to every eligible child.

Our in-shelter programs include creative crafting classes, which foster hand-eye coordination, creativity, social skills, and coping mechanisms while ensuring the children are having fun. Additionally, our unique playground encourages outdoor play and exercise.

Each child’s journey is treated individually, with programs structured around their specific trauma and needs. Our “Binkie’s for Babies” program gives each child, aged 0-18, a special handcrafted blanket, made by volunteers from Munds Park, to provide comfort and a sense of safety during their rehabilitation.

Individual assessments will determine each child’s needs, from mental wellness support to counseling, workshops, and personalized case plans developed by their assigned advocate. We also provide essential items like clothing, shoes, and food for each child entering the program.

Women’s Services

When women join our shelter, a safety plan is established as part of the intake process, and a personalized safety exit plan is created as they progress through the program. Each client works with an assigned advocate who develops a tailored case plan that includes services and a structured rehabilitation process. Essential items like clothing, shoes, and personal necessities are provided upon intake.

Our mandatory services include parenting classes, job preparation, weekly support groups, counseling, nutrition assistance (if needed), and rehabilitation workshops. We also offer optional activities such as Jazzercise, church services with transportation, volunteer opportunities, and “Horses Heroes & Hope”—a therapy program using horses to aid in the healing process.

Family Services

Emergency Bags We provide emergency bags to ensure our families have essential items during times of transition:

  • Infants (0-12 months): Bottles, diapers, wipes, formula, bib, rattle, bottled water, Gerber snacks, Tylenol.
  • Children (1-12 years): Juice cup, bottled water, snacks, toothpaste, toothbrush, hairbrush, toy, Tylenol.
  • Teens & Adults: Toothpaste, toothbrush, Tylenol, hairbrush, bottled water, snacks, tampons, pads.

Angel Program (Seasonal)
During Christmas, families have the opportunity to be “adopted,” receiving Christmas dinner and gifts delivered by Santa Claus.

Spring Program (Seasonal)
At Easter, we provide a festive dinner, Easter eggs, dye, and a fully stocked Easter basket for each child.

One-on-One Play Therapy
Play therapy helps restore and strengthen the bond between mother and child, providing a safe space where they can reconnect and heal together. Through guided play, we observe and refine the case plan if needed, while fostering trust, security, and happiness.

Self-Defense and Empowerment

We offer self-defense classes for women and children, utilizing martial arts as a means of building confidence and learning how to protect themselves. These sessions help restore self-esteem and provide practical skills for personal safety.

Self-Reliance Services

After leaving the shelter, our clients continue to receive support for up to one year. This includes resource lists, emergency contacts, and personalized self-reliance case plans. We conduct weekly check-ins, and monthly meetings, and provide food, clothing, and essentials, as needed, through our Protective Mother’s Justice program.

In return, clients are encouraged to attend monthly workshops that focus on communication skills, life skills, and community support.

Bread of Life Program

Every Thursday, we receive generous donations of fresh WildFlower bread from the Munds Park Community Church. These donations—ranging from bread bowls to loaves—are divided based on the number of families in need and delivered by Friday evening.

Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive environment where families can heal and rebuild their lives. By offering structured programs and ongoing support, we help our clients transition to a life of self-reliance and hope.
